Two Final Spice Cake Shares to go…
What a crazy week last week! I had such a great time sharing my creations for the Summer Mini Launch – I hope you enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed creating them. The launch was a great success and I enjoyed a lovely afternoon with some fabulous women. I felt soooo calm and relaxed when I woke up this morning.
So…back to the subject of my post. I have two final creations to share using Spice Cake (for the moment anyway!)
The creation below was the second make and take I shared with our Avid Inkers group. For those of you who don’t know who the Avid Inkers are…well…this is our team of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. We meet monthly and I’ve got to say our meetings are the absolute highlight of my month. We meet to simply create, share ideas and organise classes that we run in Canberra. After Christmas, I’ll be sharing a fabulous class we are planning early in 2012 so be sure to check back for the deets.

I’ll share the details of my last Spice Cake creation tomorrow. It’s a super cute gift idea. Last one…I promise!
My cake addiction
Phew…what a week it has been!
I have another share as promised. This card is inspired by Jen Sannes. I love the simple and elegant layout and of course, you already know what I think of this DSP. I’ve also covered the top of an envelope to match – I think it’s a lovely way to finish off a card to give to someone special. What is it? You guessed it…it’s Spice Cake again! Don’t you just love the selection of papers in this pack? I’ve just realised that my addiction to it has something to do with the fact that ‘cake’ is in the title. Mmm… cake…I love cake. I promise that one of my shares over the next day or so will be something other than Spice Cake. I’m thinking I’ll create something using the new Glimmer paper. I’ll also share some gorgeous swaps that I received from the very talented women at our Avid Inkers meeting last night. This card was mine.

Summer Mini Catalogue Sneak Peek
Wow! I can’t believe it has been nearly 10 days since I last caught up with you. I’ve been super busy this week preparing for my Summer Mini Catalogue Launch and I can’t wait to share some gorgeous creations with you.
Now…I haven’t forgotten my promise of a sneak peek of what’s in the Summer Mini and I have finished several projects and will share one each day leading up to the launch. The only problem is I seem to be stuck on one item…a gorgeous designer series paper called Spice Cake that I just can’t seem to stop using. This paper goes perfectly with my most recent new stamp purchase…Triple Treat Flower. I can’t believe I have never noticed this stamp in the catalogue before. It’s wonderful and is the perfect design for layering using the Fancy Flower and 5- Flower punches. I have been working on so many projects with this DSP that I realised that if I didn’t stop soon, I would run out of supplies needed for the launch!
On another note…I think the name of this fab DSP has inspired me to cook and I have also made gingerbread Christmas cookies for an evening of stamping fun planned for our Avid Inkers group meet next week. Can you believe it? My dear hubby had the hide to ask me ‘What’s with the sudden interest in cooking again?’ How rude! You would think I never cook! I must say he has a point I have been working long hours in my day job and he has been so wonderful preparing our meals.
Soooo…back on to the subject of the day. Here’s my first share over the next seven days. This is a CASE from the extraordinarily talented Mary Fish . Her work is so beautiful and as soon as I spotted this card, I just had to make it. In fact this will be one of the items that we will make at the launch next Sunday.
Stop by tomorrow for another sneak peek or better yet, why not subscribe? That way you will get updates direct to your in-box.
